Lately I've been thinking a lot about passion.
When you have a passion, it's a drive from within. The thing that drives your passion for music, or rock climbing, or volunteering, that thing can be hard to explain.
You either get it or you don't. You're either on the bus or you're not.
Building CrowdNe.ws I think a lot about the passion of journalists. I think a lot about their bus. How has their passion, that thing that drives them to discover and share their discoveries, how well has that passion been served in this digital age?
As we move beyond the current media models, we need to think differently about the needs of the journalist and the audience. When I first starting developing CrowdNe.ws, I found a word that describes a foundation of what we're building: Disintermediation. We're rebooting the news by directly connecting journalists to their audience. No filter.
We'd like your input in this reboot: tell us what drives you, what helps you, what holds you back?
How can we, at CrowdNe.ws, build you a better bus?
