Ruth Ann Harnisch, who supported our Indiegogo campaign at the Curator level (thank you Ruth Ann), asked, “What will be my choices when I begin curating?”
This is an interesting question because it illustrates another way CrowdNews is different from traditional, legacy media.
Legacy media is top down: reporter cover this story, cover this beat.
We don’t tell a CrowdNews journalist what to cover; we empower journalists to explore the stories that they think should be explored. They define the life of a story. At CrowdNews, we call a story a Newstream®. A Newstream can consist of one Dispatch or 100. It can be text, audio, video, infographic, whatever the journalist feels is the right medium. We’re media agnostic.
The same is true for our Curators. Our Curators decide which Newstreams are important, well-crafted, insightful, accurate.
We are building CrowdNews for you.
